Italian Dutch Oven Comfort
(serves about 4, submitted by Karla)

Ingredients
hamburger meat, 1 lb
1 white onion with outer layers removed, chopped (do at home to save time)
3 garlic cloves, minced (do at home to save time)
1 Tbsp of dried oregano
1 Tbsp of dried basil
salt & pepper
1 14 oz can Italian stewed tomatoes
ketchup (about 1 cup)
elbow macaroni (about 1 tomato can full)
water (about 1.5 tomato cans full)
Serve with Tabasco and parmesan cheese if you like.

You'll need a dutch oven or other cooking pot, and a wooden spoon. If you don't chop the onions and garlic at home, you'll need a cutting board and chopping knife, too.

Over medium heat, brown and crumble the meat, but don't cook it to death. Add chopped onion and minced garlic and let cook for a minute or two. Add oregano, basil, salt & pepper and let cook for another minute or two. Add stewed tomatoes, juice and all. Use the tomato can to add the macaroni and the water. Cover and cook for about 7 to 10 minutes, but be sure to stir often so your masterpiece doesn't "cake-up" on the bottom of the pot. Add the ketchup. When the pasta is a la dente, serve. Liven it up with Tabasco and parmesan. Tear off a chunk of bread from a baguette and spread with butter.
