The sequence to follow in obtaining a merit badge.

1. Find a merit badge that you are interested in or need to earn.

2. Obtain a blue Merit Badge Card from Advancement Chair or Scoutmaster.

3. Scoutmaster must approve and sign Merit Badge card.

4. Get merit badge pamphlet (or see Internet links listed below) for desired badge.

5. Call the counselor to discuss desired Merit Badge.

6. Step through the merit badge requirements and complete as many requirements as necessary.

7. Call the counselor to discuss badge and set up a meeting with counselor (Counselors follow two-deep program for leaders).

8. More than one meeting may be required.

9. If all of the requirements are met, the counselor signs off on the blue card.

10. Turn in signed Merit Badge card into advancement chair or Scoutmaster.

11. Scout is awarded merit badge at Court of Honor.  Congratulations!

MERIT BADGE INFO
FIRST AID
Explorer Post 525, the Aurora Medical Team, provides First Aid and CPR classes. Trainers are registered First Aid merit badge counselors. Training exceeds minimum requirements of the First Aid Merit Badge. Click here for more information.

CLIMBING
Earn your climbing merit badge at BSA-endorsed JungleQuest. They have certified merit badge counselors. They are located at 8000 S. Lincoln Street in Littleton (one block east of Broadway and one block south of Mineral). Call them at 303.738.9844, visit them at www.junglequest.net.
