Mark Gutman's raising funds
for tsunami victims
(last name printed with permission)

Mark Gutman is selling blue silicon wrist bracelets (much like the yellow "Livestrong" bracelets) that read "Tidal Wave of Hope" for $3 each. All proceeds will go to relief efforts sponsored by Save the Children.

"After hearing about the tsunamis in South Asia and East Africa, I decided I wanted to find a way to donate to the relief efforts, focus on the affected children, and more important, get other people involved," said Mark Gutman, 16, in a recent release to the press.

To accomplish this, Mark started a program to sell blue silicon wrist bracelets. Initially, and with the financial backing of his parents, Pam and Jim Gutman, he has ordered 260 bracelets, but hopes to purchase several thousand more assuming he can sell the ones he already has.

Mark plans to sell the bracelets at Arapahoe High School, his youth group, and also outside a few supermarkets.

By spreading the word about his efforts, Mark hopes to "be able to raise a substantial amount of money to help the tsunami relief efforts."

Mark may be contacted via email at info@atidalwaveofhope.com or mark@atidalwaveofhope.com. He is registered with PayPal to accept electronic payments for purchases. Eventually, he hopes to set up a web site to sell them on line.

He can also be contacted by phone, 303.771.8556.
